The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is working to promote healthy, sustainable ecosystems and conserve biodiversity (the variety of life on Earth). It conducts scientific research and applies the findings to develop effective resource management policies. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry also manages Ontario’s Crown land, promotes economic opportunities in the resource sector and enhances opportunities for outdoor recreation.

The ministry works to strengthen Ontario communities by promoting a housing market that serves the full range of housing needs, protects tenants and encourages private sector building, while supporting the creation of affordable housing for working families and Ontario’s most vulnerable households. Safe and affordable housing is fundamental for Ontarians striving to build a strong future for their families and their communities. 

Established in 1919 to develop and enforce labour legislation, the Ministry of Labour's mission is to advance safe, fair and harmonious workplace practices that are essential to the social and economic well-being of the people of Ontario. Through the ministry's key areas of occupational health and safety, employment rights and responsibilities, and labour relations, the ministry's mandate is to set, communicate and enforce workplace standards while encouraging greater workplace self-reliance.

The Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs is responsible for intergovernmental affairs between the Canadian province of Ontario and the other provinces and territories and the Canadian government. The ministry's goal is to strengthen national unity and Ontario's role within Canada. 

The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care is working to establish a patient-focused, results-driven, integrated and sustainable publicly funded health system. Its plan for building a sustainable public health care system in Ontario is based on helping people stay healthy, delivering good care when people need it, and protecting the health system for future generations.

The Ministry of Finance performs a variety of roles, all focused on supporting a strong economic, fiscal and investment climate for Ontario, while ensuring accountability with respect to the use of public funds. provides key fiscal, taxation and economic policy advice and support to the Minister of Finance Cabinet and the Premier and many more.
