Camp Tournesol began in 2001 at First United Church in South Mississauga. It was created to fill a void in the region for a quality French summer camp for French immersion and francophone students. From the early years, the commitment was made to employ Francophone and French immersion adult teachers and to offer a high level of spoken French in an environment where students are motivated to speak French.
